This is a wonderful sweet and creamy shrimp dish. It makes a great appetizer for a seafood dinner of steamed crab legs and lobster. I (Bird) created this recipe (that I was Inspired by) from a buffet item at Chef Lins Chinese Buffet in Chattanooga, TN. At Chef Lins I would grab this up by the bowlful. 🙂
Believe it or not, the Bayou Shrimp, Beans, and Rice is an easy Publix Aprons recipe. Don’t let those Bourbon Street chefs fool you. It only takes some Cajun-marinated shrimp, chicken sausage links, diced tomatoes, red beans, and a Louisiana accent to put this meal up against anything the French Quarter can dish out.
